Established in 1987, Universitas Muhammadiyah Palangkaraya (Muhammadiyah University of Palangkaraya) is a for-profit private higher-education institution located in the suburban setting of the small city of Palangkaraya (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), Central Kalimantan. Officially recognized by the Kementerian Pendidikan, Kebudayaan, Riset, dan Teknologi, Republik Indonesia (Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology, Republic of Indonesia), Universitas Muhammadiyah Palangkaraya is a small coeducational Indonesian higher education institution formally affiliated with the Islamic religion.
