Founded in 1999, Universitas Muhammadiyah Semarang (Muhammadiyah University of Semarang) is a private higher-education institution located in the metropolis of Semarang (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants), Central Java. Officially recognized by the Kementerian Pendidikan, Kebudayaan, Riset, dan Teknologi, Republik Indonesia (Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology, Republic of Indonesia), Universitas Muhammadiyah Semarang (UNIMUS) is a small coeducational Indonesian higher education institution formally affiliated with the Islamic religion. Universitas Muhammadiyah Semarang (UNIMUS) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees in several areas of study. UNIMUS also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, as well as administrative services.
