Founded in 1983, Universitas Muhammadiyah Tapanuli Selatan (Muhammadiyah Muhammadiyah University of Tapanuli Selatan University) is a private higher-education institution located in the small city of Padang Sidempuan (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), North Sumatra. Officially recognized by the Kementerian Pendidikan, Kebudayaan, Riset, dan Teknologi, Republik Indonesia (Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology, Republic of Indonesia), Universitas Muhammadiyah Tapanuli Selatan (UMTS) is a small coeducational Indonesian higher education institution formally affiliated with the Islamic religion. Universitas Muhammadiyah Tapanuli Selatan (UMTS) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees in several areas of study. UMTS also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, as well as administrative services.
