Established in 1962, Universitas Mulawarman (Mulawarman University) is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the large city of Samarinda (population range of 500,000-1,000,000 inhabitants), East Kalimantan. Officially recognized by the Kementerian Pendidikan, Kebudayaan, Riset, dan Teknologi, Republik Indonesia (Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology, Republic of Indonesia), Universitas Mulawarman (UNMUL) is a large coeducational Indonesian higher education institution.
