Founded in 2013, Universitas Sampoerna (Sampoerna University) is a private higher-education institution located in the large metropolis of Jakarta (population range of over 5,000,000 inhabitants), Jakarta SCR. Officially recognized by the Kementerian Pendidikan, Kebudayaan, Riset, dan Teknologi, Republik Indonesia (Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology, Republic of Indonesia), Universitas Sampoerna is a very small coeducational Indonesian higher education institution. Universitas Sampoerna offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees in several areas of study. Universitas Sampoerna also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, as well as administrative services.
