Established in 1987, Universitas Semarang (University of Semarang) is a private higher-education institution located in the metropolis of Semarang (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants), Central Java. Officially recognized by the Kementerian Pendidikan, Kebudayaan, Riset, dan Teknologi, Republik Indonesia (Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology, Republic of Indonesia), Universitas Semarang is a large coeducational Indonesian higher education institution. Universitas Semarang offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees in several areas of study. Universitas Semarang also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, as well as administrative services.
