Established in 1982, Universitas Singaperbangsa Karawang (University of Singaperbangsa Karawang) is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the urban setting of the metropolis of Karawang (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants), West Java. Officially recognized by the Kementerian Pendidikan, Kebudayaan, Riset, dan Teknologi, Republik Indonesia (Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology, Republic of Indonesia), Universitas Singaperbangsa Karawang (UNSIKA) is a large coeducational Indonesian higher education institution formally affiliated with the Islamic religion. Universitas Singaperbangsa Karawang (UNSIKA) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as pre-bachelor degrees (i.e. certificates, diplomas, associate or foundation), bachelor degrees, master degrees in several areas of study. This 40 years old Indonesian higher-education institution has a selective admission policy based on entrance examinations and students' past academic record and grades. UNSIKA also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, sports facilities, financial aids and/or scholarships, study abroad and exchange programs, as well as administrative services.
