Established in 1963, Universitas Tanjungpura (Tanjungpura University) is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the large city of Pontianak (population range of 500,000-1,000,000 inhabitants), West Kalimantan. Officially recognized by the Kementerian Pendidikan, Kebudayaan, Riset, dan Teknologi, Republik Indonesia (Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology, Republic of Indonesia), Universitas Tanjungpura (UNTAN) is a large coeducational Indonesian higher education institution. Universitas Tanjungpura (UNTAN) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees in several areas of study. UNTAN also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, as well as administrative services.
