Established in 2006, Universitas Timika (University of Timika) is a private higher-education institution located in the small city of Timika (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), Papua. Officially recognized by the Kementerian Pendidikan, Kebudayaan, Riset, dan Teknologi, Republik Indonesia (Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology, Republic of Indonesia), Universitas Timika is a very small coeducational Indonesian higher education institution. Universitas Timika offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees in several areas of study. Universitas Timika also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, as well as administrative services.
