Established in 1956, Universitas Tjut Nyak Dhien (Tjut Nyak Dien University) is a private higher-education institution located in the metropolis of Medan (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants), North Sumatra. Officially recognized by the Kementerian Pendidikan, Kebudayaan, Riset, dan Teknologi, Republik Indonesia (Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology, Republic of Indonesia), Universitas Tjut Nyak Dhien (UTND) is a very small coeducational Indonesian higher education institution.
