Founded in 1986, Universitas Wiraraja (Wiraraja University) is a non-profit public private partnership higher-education institution located in the urban setting of the metropolis of Sumenep (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants), East Java. Officially recognized by the Kementerian Pendidikan, Kebudayaan, Riset, dan Teknologi, Republik Indonesia (Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology, Republic of Indonesia), Universitas Wiraraja (WIRARAJA) is a very small coeducational Indonesian higher education institution. Universitas Wiraraja (WIRARAJA) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as pre-bachelor degrees (i.e. certificates, diplomas, associate or foundation), bachelor degrees in several areas of study. This 36 years old Indonesian higher-education institution has a selective admission policy based on entrance examinations and students' past academic record and grades.
