Established in 1994, Universitetet i Agder (University of Agder) is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the urban setting of the small city of Kristiansand (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), Vest-Agder. This institution also has a branch campus in Grimstad. Officially recognized by the Kunnskapsdepartementet, Norge (Ministry of Education of Norway), Universitetet i Agder (UiA) is a medium-sized coeducational Norwegian higher education institution.
