Established in 1992, Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (University of Malaysia, Sarawak) is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the suburban setting of the small city of Kota Samarahan (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), Sarawak. Officially recognized by the Kementerian Pendidikan Tinggi (Ministry of Higher Education of Malaysia), Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS) is a medium-sized coeducational Malaysian higher education institution.
