Founded in 1980, University of Azad Jammu and Kashmirs is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the metropolis of Muzaffarabad (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants), Azad Kashmir. Officially recognized by the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan, University of Azad Jammu and Kashmirs (AJKU) is a small coeducational Pakistani higher education institution. University of Azad Jammu and Kashmirs (AJKU) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees in several areas of study. AJKU also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, as well as administrative services.
