Founded in 1993, University of Bahr El-Ghazal is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the suburban setting of the small city of Wau (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), West Bahr al Ghazal. This institution also has a branch campus in Khartoum. Officially recognized by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology of South Sudan, University of Bahr El-Ghazal (UBG) is a small coeducational South Sudanese higher education institution. University of Bahr El-Ghazal (UBG) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as pre-bachelor degrees (i.e. certificates, diplomas, associate or foundation), bachelor degrees, master degrees in several areas of study. This 29 years old South Sudanese higher-education institution has a selective admission policy based on entrance examinations and students' past academic record and grades. The admission rate range is 60-70% making this South Sudanese higher education organization a somewhat selective institution. International students are welcome to apply for enrollment.
