Established in 1975, University of Calabar is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the medium city of Calabar (population range of 250,000-499,999 inhabitants), Cross River. Officially recognized by the National Universities Commission of Nigeria, University of Calabar (UNICAL) is a very large coeducational Nigerian higher education institution. University of Calabar (UNICAL) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees in several areas of study. This 47 years old Nigerian higher-education institution has a selective admission policy based on entrance examinations. International applicants are eligible to apply for enrollment. UNICAL also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, housing, sports facilities, financial aids and/or scholarships, study abroad and exchange programs, as well as administrative services.
