Founded in 2016, University of East Kordofan is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the medium city of El-Obeid (population range of 250,000-499,999 inhabitants), North Kordofan. Officially recognized by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research of Sudan, University of East Kordofan (UEK) is a coeducational Sudanese higher education institution. University of East Kordofan (UEK) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees in several areas of study. UEK also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including as well as administrative services.
