Founded in 1990, University of Economy and Law after Avetik Mkrtchyan is a private higher-education institution located in the metropolis of Yerevan (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants). Officially recognized by the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of the Republic of Armenia, University of Economy and Law after Avetik Mkrtchyan (UELM) is a coeducational Armenian higher education institution. University of Economy and Law after Avetik Mkrtchyan (UELM) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees in several areas of study. UELM also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, as well as administrative services.
