Founded in 1953, University of Food Technologies is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the urban setting of the medium city of Plovdiv (population range of 250,000-499,999 inhabitants). Officially recognized by the Ministry of Education and Science of Bulgaria, University of Food Technologies (UFT) is a small coeducational Bulgarian higher education institution. University of Food Technologies (UFT) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees, master degrees in several areas of study. International students are welcome to apply for enrollment. UFT also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, sports facilities, financial aids and/or scholarships, study abroad and exchange programs, as well as administrative services.
