Established in 2011, University of Gitwe is a private higher-education institution located in the medium city of Nyanza (population range of 250,000-499,999 inhabitants), Southern Province. Officially recognized by the Ministry of Education of Rwanda, University of Gitwe (UG) is a coeducational Rwandan higher education institution formally affiliated with the Christian-Adventist religion. University of Gitwe (UG) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees in several areas of study. UG also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including study abroad and exchange programs, as well as administrative services.
