Established in 1968, University of Goroka is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the large town of Goroka (population range of 10,000-49,999 inhabitants), Eastern Highlands. Officially recognized by the Department of Higher Education, Research, Science and Technology of Papua New Guinea, University of Goroka (UOG) is a small coeducational Papua New Guinean higher education institution. University of Goroka (UOG) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees in several areas of study. UOG also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, sports facilities, study abroad and exchange programs, as well as administrative services.
