Established in 1969, University of Jammu is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the urban setting of the large city of Jammu (population range of 500,000-1,000,000 inhabitants), Jammu and Kashmir. Officially recognized by the University Grants Commission of India, University of Jammu is a coeducational Indian higher education institution. University of Jammu offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees in several areas of study.
