Founded in 1895, University of Livingstonia is a private higher-education institution located in the medium town of Livingstonia (population range of 2,500-9,999 inhabitants), Northern Region. This institution also has a branch campus in Ekwendeni. Officially recognized by the National Council for Higher Education of Malawi, University of Livingstonia (UNILIA) is a very small coeducational Malawian higher education institution formally affiliated with the Christian-Presbyterian religion. University of Livingstonia (UNILIA) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as pre-bachelor degrees (i.e. certificates, diplomas, associate or foundation) in several areas of study. UNILIA also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, online courses and distance learning opportunities, as well as administrative services.
