Established in 2015, University of Medicine, Taunggyi is a non-profit private higher-education institution located in the urban setting of the medium city of Taunggyi (population range of 250,000-499,999 inhabitants), Shan. Officially recognized by the Ministry of Health and Sports of Myanmar, University of Medicine, Taunggyi (UMTGI) is a very small coeducational Burmese higher education institution.
