Established in 2007, University of Misan is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the medium city of Amarah (population range of 250,000-499,999 inhabitants), Maysan. Officially recognized by the Ministry of Higher Education & Scientific Research of Iraq, University of Misan is a small coeducational Iraqi higher education institution. University of Misan offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study. University of Misan also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, as well as administrative services.
