Founded in 2005, University of Mkar is a private higher-education institution located in the urban setting of the large town of Mkar (population range of 10,000-49,999 inhabitants), Benue. Officially recognized by the National Universities Commission of Nigeria, University of Mkar is a coeducational Nigerian higher education institution formally affiliated with the Christian-Reformed religion.
