Established in 1920, University of National and World Economy is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the urban setting of the metropolis of Sofia (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants), Sofia City. This institution also has branch campuses in the following locations: Plovdiv, Haskovo. Officially recognized by the Ministry of Education and Science of Bulgaria, University of National and World Economy (UNWE) is a large coeducational Bulgarian higher education institution. University of National and World Economy (UNWE) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees in several areas of study. International applicants are eligible to apply for enrollment. UNWE also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, housing, sports facilities, study abroad and exchange programs, as well as administrative services.
