Established in 2011, University of Northern Bahr El-Ghazal is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the urban setting of the small city of Aweil (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), Northern Bahr el Ghazal. Officially recognized by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology of South Sudan, University of Northern Bahr El-Ghazal (UNBEG) is a coeducational South Sudanese higher education institution. University of Northern Bahr El-Ghazal (UNBEG) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees in several areas of study. UNBEG also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, as well as administrative services.
