Established in 1964, University of Patras is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the suburban setting of the small city of Patras (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), Western Greece. This institution also has a branch campus in Agrinio. Officially recognized by the Ministry of Education, Research and Religious Affairs of Greece, University of Patras (UP) is a large coeducational Greek higher education institution.
