Founded in 1967, University of Sulaimani is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the urban setting of the metropolis of Sulaymaniyah (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants), Kurdistan. Officially recognized by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research of the Kurdistan Regional Government, University of Sulaimani (UoS) is a coeducational Iraqi higher education institution. University of Sulaimani (UoS) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees in several areas of study. UoS also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, as well as administrative services.
