Established in 1984, University of Technology and Applied Sciences is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the metropolis of Muscat (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants). This institution also has branch campuses in the following locations: Salalah, Suhar, Nizwa, Ibra, Al-Musanaa, Shinas, Ibri, Sur, Rustaq, Khasab. Officially recognized by the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation of the Sultanate of Oman, University of Technology and Applied Sciences (UTAS) is a very large coeducational Omani higher education institution. University of Technology and Applied Sciences (UTAS) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as pre-bachelor degrees (i.e. certificates, diplomas, associate or foundation), bachelor degrees in several areas of study. UTAS also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, sports facilities, as well as administrative services.
