Founded in 1946, University of the Cordilleras is a non-profit private higher-education institution located in the urban setting of the medium city of Baguio City (population range of 250,000-499,999 inhabitants), Cordillera Administrative Region. Officially recognized by the Commission on Higher Education of the Philippines, University of the Cordilleras (UC) is a large coeducational Philippine higher education institution. University of the Cordilleras (UC) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as pre-bachelor degrees (i.e. certificates, diplomas, associate or foundation), bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study. This 76 years old Philippine higher-education institution has a selective admission policy based on students' past academic record and grades. International students are welcome to apply for enrollment. UC also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, sports facilities, financial aids and/or scholarships, online courses and distance learning opportunities, as well as administrative services.
