Founded in 1999, University of the Gambia is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the medium city of Serekunda (population range of 250,000-499,999 inhabitants), Banjul. Officially recognized by the Ministry of Higher Education, Research, Science and Technology of Gambia, University of the Gambia (UTG) is a small coeducational Gambian higher education institution. University of the Gambia (UTG) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees in several areas of study. UTG also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, as well as administrative services.
