Established in 1982, University of Venda is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the small city of Thohoyandou (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), Limpopo. Officially recognized by the Department of Higher Education and Training of South Africa, University of Venda is a medium-sized coeducational South African higher education institution. University of Venda offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees in several areas of study.
