Established in 2003, University of Wasit is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the urban setting of the medium city of Kut (population range of 250,000-499,999 inhabitants), Wasit. Officially recognized by the Ministry of Higher Education & Scientific Research of Iraq, University of Wasit is a coeducational Iraqi higher education institution. University of Wasit offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees in several areas of study. University of Wasit also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, as well as administrative services.
