Founded in 2002, University of West Yangon is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the small city of Htantabin (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), Yangon. Officially recognized by the Ministry of Education (Science and Technology) of Myanmar, University of West Yangon (UWY) is a large coeducational Burmese higher education institution. University of West Yangon (UWY) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees in several areas of study. UWY also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, as well as administrative services.
