Established in 2011, University of Western Equatoria is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the large town of Yambio (population range of 10,000-49,999 inhabitants), Western Equatoria. Officially recognized by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology of South Sudan, University of Western Equatoria (UWE) is a coeducational South Sudanese higher education institution. University of Western Equatoria (UWE) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees in several areas of study. UWE also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, as well as administrative services.
