Established in 1989, Université Catholique du Graben (Catholic University of Graben) is a private higher-education institution located in the small city of Butembo (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), North Kivu. Officially recognized by the Ministère de l'Enseignement Supérieur et Universitaire, République Démocratique du Congo (Ministry of Higher and University Education of the Democratic Republic of the Congo), Université Catholique du Graben (UCG) is a very small coeducational Congolese higher education institution formally affiliated with the Christian-Catholic religion. Université Catholique du Graben (UCG) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees in several areas of study. UCG also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, as well as administrative services.
