Founded in 2004, Université de Kalemie (University of Kalemie) is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the small city of Kalemie (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), Tanganyika. Officially recognized by the Ministère de l'Enseignement Supérieur et Universitaire, République Démocratique du Congo (Ministry of Higher and University Education of the Democratic Republic of the Congo), Université de Kalemie (UNIKAL) is a coeducational Congolese higher education institution. Université de Kalemie (UNIKAL) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees in several areas of study. UNIKAL also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, as well as administrative services.
