Founded in 1990, Université de Mbuji Mayi (University of Mbuji-Mayi) is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the urban setting of the metropolis of Mbuji Mayi (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants), Kasai-Oriental. Officially recognized by the Ministère de l'Enseignement Supérieur et Universitaire, République Démocratique du Congo (Ministry of Higher and University Education of the Democratic Republic of the Congo), Université de Mbuji Mayi is a very small coeducational Congolese higher education institution. Université de Mbuji Mayi offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as pre-bachelor degrees (i.e. certificates, diplomas, associate or foundation), bachelor degrees in several areas of study. This 32 years old Congolese higher-education institution has a selective admission policy based on entrance examinations. International students are welcome to apply for enrollment.
