Founded in 1995, Université Française en Arménie (French University in Armenia) is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the urban setting of the metropolis of Yerevan (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants). Officially recognized by the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of the Republic of Armenia, Université Française en Arménie (UFAR) is a small coeducational Armenian higher education institution. Université Française en Arménie (UFAR) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as master degrees in several areas of study. International students are welcome to apply for enrollment. UFAR also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, as well as administrative services.
