Established in 1999, Université Joseph Kasa-Vubu (Joseph Kasa-Vubu University) is a higher-education institution located in the small city of Boma (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), Kongo Central. Officially recognized by the Ministère de l'Enseignement Supérieur et Universitaire, République Démocratique du Congo (Ministry of Higher and University Education of the Democratic Republic of the Congo), Université Joseph Kasa-Vubu (UKV) is a small coeducational Congolese higher education institution. Université Joseph Kasa-Vubu (UKV) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees in several areas of study.
