Established in 1993, Université Privée du Sud (Private University of the South) is a private higher-education institution located in the medium city of Sfax (population range of 250,000-499,999 inhabitants). Officially recognized by the Ministère de l'Enseignement Supérieur et de la Recherche Scientifique, Tunisie (Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research of Tunisia), Université Privée du Sud (ULS) is a coeducational Tunisian higher education institution. Université Privée du Sud (ULS) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as pre-bachelor degrees (i.e. certificates, diplomas, associate or foundation), bachelor degrees, master degrees in several areas of study. ULS also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, as well as administrative services.
