Established in 1988, Université Quisqueya (Quisqueya University) is a non-profit private higher-education institution located in the urban setting of the large city of Port-au-Prince (population range of 500,000-1,000,000 inhabitants), West Department. Officially recognized by the Ministère de l'Éducation Nationale et de la Formation Professionnelle, Haiti (Ministry of National Education and Vocational Training of Haiti), Université Quisqueya (uniQ) is a coeducational Haitian higher education institution. Université Quisqueya (uniQ) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study. This 34 years old Haitian higher-education institution has a selective admission policy based on entrance examinations and students' past academic record and grades. International applicants are eligible to apply for enrollment. uniQ also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, financial aids and/or scholarships, study abroad and exchange programs, as well as administrative services.
