Established in 1961, Univerza v Mariboru (University of Maribor) is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the small city of Maribor (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), Styria. This institution also has branch campuses in the following locations: Kranj, Ljubljana, Celje, Krko, Koper, Murska Sobota, Novo Mesto, Slovenj Gradec, Nova Gorica, Trbovlje, Postojna. Officially recognized by the Ministrstvo za izobraevanje, znanost in port, Republika Slovenija (Ministry of Education, Science and Sport of Slovenia), Univerza v Mariboru (UM) is a large coeducational Slovenian higher education institution. Univerza v Mariboru (UM) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees in several areas of study. UM also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, sports facilities, study abroad and exchange programs, as well as administrative services.
