Founded in 2001, Uniwersytet Zielonogórski (University of Zielona Góra) is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the urban setting of the small city of Zielona Góra (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), Lubusz Voivodeship. Officially recognized by the Ministerstwo Nauki i Szkolnictwa Wyzszego, Polsce (Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Poland), Uniwersytet Zielonogórski (UZ) is a small coeducational Polish higher education institution. Uniwersytet Zielonogórski (UZ) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study. This 20 years old Polish higher-education institution has a selective admission policy based on entrance examinations and students' past academic record and grades. International students are welcome to apply for enrollment. UZ also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, sports facilities, study abroad and exchange programs, as well as administrative services.
