Established in 1969, Vanadzor State University is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the urban setting of the small city of Vanadzor (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), Lori. Officially recognized by the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of the Republic of Armenia, Vanadzor State University (VSU) is a small coeducational Armenian higher education institution. Vanadzor State University (VSU) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study. This 53 years old Armenian higher-education institution has a selective admission policy based on entrance examinations and students' past academic record and grades.
