Founded in 1934, Vitebsk State Medical University is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the urban setting of the medium city of Vitebsk (population range of 250,000-499,999 inhabitants), Vitebsk Region. Officially recognized by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus, Vitebsk State Medical University (VSMU) is a small coeducational Belarusian higher education institution.
