Founded in 1958, Xizang Minzu University is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the metropolis of Xianyang (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants), Tibet. Officially recognized by the Tibet Autonomous Region Department of Education, Xizang Minzu University is a medium-sized coeducational Chinese higher education institution. Xizang Minzu University offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees in several areas of study. Xizang Minzu University also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, as well as administrative services.
