Founded in 1983, Yasuj University is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the small city of Yasuj (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad. Officially recognized by the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology of Iran, Yasuj University (YU) is a coeducational Iranian higher education institution. Yasuj University (YU) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees in several areas of study. YU also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, as well as administrative services.
